Baseline studies examine existing site resources and establish the conditions used to benchmark the change in the environment that would occur as a result of a proposed action. Baseline studies also identify site constraints that may impede a project's development, such as wetlands, contaminated soil, or flood plains. Point Impact Analysis staff develops and manages the plans for collecting this important data.
Example Project: Modesto Irrigation District Rosemore-Woodland 69-kV Transmission Project
Our Role: Point Impact Analysis provided the environmental studies for a 69-kV transmission line that connects two Modesto Irrigation District substations and improved reliability of service. Point Impact Analysis provided biological and cultural resource specialists that inspected the proposed and alternative routes to identify potential issues and directed the biological and cultural field surveys to verify database findings for the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review of the project.
