Our Role: Point Impact Analysis prepared the ATC application for Western GeoPower Unit 1, a 38.5 MW power plant, at The Geysers. Point Impact Analysis also prepared the ATC applications for the initial Western GeoPower exploratory well at the leases for the well field that served the Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) Unit 15 power plant and the Western GeoPower 38.5 MW power plant. The power plant application included a three-stage hydrogen sulfide abatement system (thermal oxidizer, caustic scrubber, and wet electrostatic preceptor) to control the emissions expected in this well field to the levels required by the Northern Sonoma County Air Pollution Control District.
